Leading corporate law firm, Shulmans LLP has developed its commercial dispute resolution team (CDR), announcing the accelerated career progression of three of its solicitors and the appointment of a senior solicitor.
The team has been strengthened by the promotion of three of its solicitors to associate level: Ellie Cooke, Laura Hill and Sara Souyave.
Cooke will continue to develop specialisms in contentious probate work alongside Paul Lewis, formerly a partner at Gordons LLP, who has been appointed to a senior role within the CDR team. He brings more than 20 years of experience in dispute resolution, contentious trusts, probate and estates claims.
As a member of the Association of Contentious Trusts and Probate Specialists, Lewis’ expertise lies in dealing with executors, disputed wills and legacies, in addition to claims brought by family members and dependents.
Hill and Souyave, along with Cooke, will continue to be integral to the CDR team in a variety of fields including insurance litigation, professional negligence and significant commercial disputes.
Robert Whitehead, joint-head of dispute resolution, said: ‘Our promotions and new appointment bring additional strength and experience to our already successful team. Our clients expect us to be able to deliver advice in relation to dispute resolution, in what are often complex, high-value and high-risk matters.
