London-based firm Jurit LLP has promoted tax law and commercial litigator Alex Peebles to partner.
Peebles (pictured above) represents clients in tax disputes with HMRC in the tax tribunal and higher courts, and in commercial matters related to taxation.
Peebles joined the firm in 2021 with solicitor Helen Cummings to establish its contentious tax practice.
Jurit senior partner Robert Marcus commented: 'We are pleased to welcome Alex into the Jurit partnership. His experience and skills enhance the strategic overlap of the commercial and individual parts of our business, allowing us to fulfil our aim to look after both our clients and their businesses.'
Jeremy Glover, head of tax, added: 'Since Alex and Helen joined the firm, our tax practice has grown significantly, representing a broad range of clients in a variety of tax disputes with HMRC.'
