Global law firm Reed Smith welcomes the arrival of Petar Orlic as a partner in the real estate group in London. Petar joins from US firm Faegre Baker Daniels, where he was a partner and head of real estate. He will be accompanied by one associate from his team. Petar’s wealth of experience will bring both depth and breadth to Reed Smith’s growing real estate practice in London and across Europe.
’Petar’s practice sits perfectly with the strategy of our real estate group to work cohesively with lawyers across our global network and broaden the scope of our practice,’ said Joe Sarcinella, chair of Reed Smith’s global real estate group. ’His cross-border experience will bolster the presence of our real estate group not just in London, but right across our global platform.’
Petar advises on commercial real estate acquisitions and developments, real estate finance, and real estate management in the UK and across Europe. With significant experience in central and eastern Europe, Petar advises his clients on international transactions and financial strategies for new markets. His advice spans real estate transactions, lending, portfolio management and acquisition strategy, and his clients include leading investors, developers, and banks.
Reed Smith’s real estate practice comprises more than 160 lawyers globally, offering the full range of legal services spanning the United States, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. The group’s lawyers provide tailored advice and develop effective solutions for all real estate matters, whether local, regional, or international.
’Reed Smith’s real estate practice stands apart in the market on account of our ability to meet clients’ needs via a truly joined-up, firmwide approach’, said Jimmy Theodorou, deputy practice group leader of the real estate group. ’Petar’s broad real estate practice and collegiate outlook make him a natural fit for the group as we look to further expand our offering in Europe and globally.’
