National law firm Simpson Millar has welcomed partner and military claims specialist Sinead Cartwright to its national injury practice area.
Cartwright, a former director at Hilary Meredith, deals with complex military claims involving traumatic brain injury, military clinical negligence, non-freezing cold injury claims and noise induced hearing loss claims.
She has dealt with a number of high-profile cases in previous roles, including acting for victims of the Hillsborough disaster, and acting for an Army Captain who suffered a traumatic brain injury where she was able to recover a settlement of £2.3 million.
Simpson Millar’s injury practice area director Helen Melling commented: 'Sinead is a highly regarded, passionate military claims expert who brings with her many years’ experience representing armed forces personnel in what are often complex and technical cases.
'She has a unique understanding of the environment faced by service personnel and veterans, and her dedication and commitment to her clients consistently results in outstanding outcomes for the people she represents, and their families.
'We are absolutely thrilled to be welcoming her to the team.'
Cartwright added: 'As a firm Simpson Millar shares my own values, which centre around delivering the highest quality legal service to clients and securing access to the necessary funds that will allow them to rebuild their lives following injuries.
'I am delighted to be joining Helen and the wider Injury Practice Area, and in particular a team of such strong, very experienced military lawyers.'
Cartwright is based at Simpson Millar's Manchester office.
