Leading Welsh law firm Hugh James has appointed an asbestos-related illness specialist to its industrial disease division, to service its growing portfolio of cases relating to exposure to the harmful substance.
Richard Green joins as a senior associate within Hugh James’s industrial disease division, with plans for further appointments to handle the increased volume of asbestos claims which are anticipated to peak in approximately 2020.
Richard has over eight years’ experience in handling mesothelioma, asbestosis, lung cancer and diffuse pleural thickening claims on behalf of victims against their current or previous employers.
He joins the firm from Boyes Turner LLP, where he handled a number of high-profile cases including claims against British Rail and the Ministry of Defence.
Richard is a regular speaker at Royal College of Nurses and Royal College of Physicians approved events, and has significant experience in working closely with medical professionals, including respiratory consultants and lung cancer nurses.
