Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP has announced that Joshua Tod has joined the firm as of counsel in the London office. Previously of counsel with Simpson Thacher & Bartlett, Tod will support Gibson Dunn’s existing EMEA private investment funds practice.
Tod has extensive experience advising private equity, infrastructure, credit and real estate funds. He regularly counsels clients on the establishment and operation of private investment funds, including advising on the structuring and marketing of such funds and commercial issues arising from their operation.
He has represented a range of private fund managers on multi-billion large buyout and mid-market fundraisings. He also advises on matters ranging from drafting commercial contracts between managers, investors and service providers to providing fund establishment advice relating to structures, fundraising, legal and commercial terms and the regulation surrounding marketing private funds.
He received his university degree from Durham University in 1998.
