London-based law firm Gherson Solicitors has launched its dispute resolution practice with the appointment of commercial litigator Edward Miller.
Miller has expertise in financial services, cross-border, property, and company commercial litigation. He also has experience in banking litigation and offshore contentious trusts.
The new disputes resolution practice will blend commercial litigation and arbitration with a focus on civil and commercial litigation, arbitration, international litigation, and alternative dispute resolution offerings. The team will also offer legal expertise in both insolvency and intellectual property contentious issues.
Founding partner Roger Gherson said: 'This is an important milestone for Gherson Solicitors. Whilst, as a team we have been dealing with contentious matters for many years, re-organising ourselves to offer a fuller range of commercial litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution solutions, will certainly be a positive move for our clients. Edward’s experience and can-do attitude complements our desire to streamline our offerings here at the firm.'
Miller added: 'This is an exciting time for me and the firm. Gherson Solicitors has a strong reputation in dealing with complex cases and I am looking forward to getting stuck in. Joining the newly streamlined disputes team is a privilege and I am excited to play my part in making it grow.'
Miller trained as a barrister before being admitted as a solicitor in 2008. He has rights of audience in England and Wales, as well as at the AIFC Court in Kazakhstan. He sits on the Global Advisory Board at MediateGuru, an international organisation that aims to educate and promote the international community on mediation and arbitration.
