Eversheds Sutherland has welcomed IP partner Indradeep Bhattacharya to its company commercial practice group.
His focus is primarily on complex patent litigation matters, and non-contentious and regulatory advice within the life sciences sector, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and medical devices. He also has experience advising on high-value IP and technology disputes across industry sectors.
Bhattacharya has developed a strong life sciences regulatory practice, providing advice on issues throughout the full life-cycle of a product – from market access for pharmaceuticals and medical devices to pricing and general compliance requirements. He has assisted clients on investigations and interactions with regulators, including the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
Partner and co-chair of Eversheds Sutherland’s global IP practice Emmanuel Ronco commented: 'Indradeep’s in-depth experience and sector knowledge makes him a key hire for our practice. I am delighted to welcome him to Eversheds Sutherland. His expertise in international patent advisory and litigation as well as the life science field naturally fits in our IP growth strategy. We all very much look forward to working with him to further our global offering to clients.'
Bhattacharya added: 'This is an exciting time to be joining the fast-growing and ambitious team at Eversheds Sutherland. I am very much looking forward to working with and supporting their impressive client base, as well as drawing on my skills to help provide our clients with a full and deep understanding of all areas of the market.'
Bhattacharya joins the global law firm from Jones Day, where he was counsel.
