Element Materials Technology (Element), a global leader in testing, inspection and certification (TIC) services, has appointed Trudy Cooke as group general counsel and company secretary.
As group general counsel, Cooke will join the operating board, with responsibility for leading the legal, insurance, governance and compliance teams and building capabilities across internal audit and risk.
Cooke was most recently group general counsel and company secretary at Avast PLC, an FTSE-100 global cyber security company. She has over 25 years of experience working in PLC and private equity environments across a range of different business sectors, including over 14 years as chief operating officer at private equity firm Terra Firma Capital Partners. Prior to Avast, she worked for satellite service provider Inmarsat. She brings a wealth of corporate governance experience, including the successful private purchases of both Avast and Inmarsat.
