Law firm Flint Bishop has announced the appointment of Simon Griffiths as a partner in its commercial property team.

Griffiths, who will be based at Flint Bishop's Derby office, joins the firm from Sheffield-based property developer Henry Boot PLC, where he served as head of legal. 

Griffiths previously worked as part of Flint Bishop's commercial property team from 2007 to 2016. He has experience in complex landlord and tenant matters, including acquisition, disposal, and development of commercial and residential sites, leases, and planning agreements.

He said: 'I am delighted to be returning to Flint Bishop and to the vibrant city of Derby, a hub of investment in property developments. My move back into private practice from an in-house role allows me to bring a unique perspective and valuable experience to our clients. Understanding the needs and challenges from both sides of the table will enable us to provide even more comprehensive and strategic advice.'
