Cleveland & Co, the financial services focused law firm, has appointed Alejandro Alemany as a director.
Prior to his appointment, Alejandro had been a solicitor at Legal & General Investment Management, one of Europe’s largest asset managers, where he worked for four years. He has previously worked at financial institutions such as Goldman Sachs and Société Générale.
Alejandro, a dual qualified lawyer, brings over 13 years’ experience in the financial services industry. He has a thorough understanding of compliance and legal cultures in different jurisdictions having advised on multiple cross-border transactions.
At Legal & General Investment Management, Alejandro advised on securities lending, repurchase transactions, and pension and investment funds (UCITS and non-UCITS). Previously, Alejandro has worked on trading agreements, pension schemes, and investment funds for Goldman Sachs, and was also the ’Responsible Derivatives Advisor’ for the global equity flow desk at Société Générale.
Alejandro speaks four languages including Spanish and Russian, and has considerable experience of training both clients and colleagues
