Central London law firm Bishop & Sewell has promoted private client specialist Shelina Vaiya to associate solicitor.
Vaiya, who joined the firm in 2013, has expertise in dealing with matters including managing the administration of estates, Court of Protection matters, lasting powers of attorney, drafting wills and general lifetime tax planning for family wealth.
Managing partner Michael Kashis commented: 'It is great to see both Shelina and the private client team going from strength to strength. 2021 promises to be an interesting year for us and this is a great way to start the Year.'
Bishop & Sewell has also hired Jasmine Sudworth as a solicitor in the employment team.
Sudworth advises employers and employees on contentious and non-contentious employment law matters including employment contracts, settlement agreements, disciplinary and grievance procedures, redundancy matters and the enforcement of restrictive covenants.
She also has experience of bringing and defending Employment Tribunal claims for unfair dismissal, whistleblowing and discrimination.
Partner and head of employment Rhian Radia commented: 'I am delighted that Jasmine will be working alongside me, helping me to build my team, at a time when Employment law is busier than ever. Jasmine is an excellent employment lawyer committed to providing a first class service to HR teams and to our employer clients, as well as fighting to protect the employment rights of our employee clients'.
