London firm Hanne & Co has given the latest vote of confidence in the revival of London's traditional legal heart by opening a new office a stone's throw from Chancery Lane tube. The expansion, from its present headquarters in Battersea, coincides with the firm's 125th anniversary.
Hanne & Co said the new location will allow it to expand its reach to a wider audience of businesses and individuals.
'We are excited about this new chapter in Hanne & Co’s journey and look forward to the opportunities and growth it will bring,' said Liz Francis, managing partner. 'The new office represents our commitment to expanding our horizons and enhancing our ability to serve our clients.'
Hanne & Co started out in 1898 as a one-person practice in Battersea. It now has 49 fee earners, led by a 100% female equity partnership.
Its presence in serviced offices in Southampton Buildings is a welcome sign of revival at the north end of Chancery Lane, which became distinctly fly-blown during the pandemic years. The block has also been lifted by the reopening of a stunningly refurbished Chancery House.
Obiter extends a warm welcome - even if it does mean slightly longer queues at the neighbourhood's sandwich shops and watering holes.
