Silver circle firm Travers Smith’s latest partner promotion round consists entirely of women, the firm has announced.
In total, four women have been promoted effective from 1 July.
The new partners and their areas of practice are: Heather Gagen - dispute resolution; Emma Havas - private equity; Hannah Manning – tax and Emma Pereira - real estate.
Chris Hale, senior partner, said: ‘We are excited not just to be able to promote these talented lawyers to the partnership, but to have our first ever female cohort of new partners.’
David Patient, managing partner at Travers Smith, added: ‘I am delighted to welcome four outstanding female lawyers to Travers Smith’s partnership this year. Our new partners have already proven themselves to be valuable contributors to the success of their respective practice areas, and I look forward to working with them in the next phase of their careers.’
The firm does not have a diversity target and told the Gazette it promotes solicitors on merit.
