I do live in hope that the Gazette will avoid ambiguity.

I’m writing regarding the comment piece of 17 March, ‘Minister failed his own test’.

First, it wasn’t a visa, it was the renewal of a work permit. Second, it was very clear that this had not been at my request. It would have been helpful if you had made it clear that I had ‘not been found to have instructed or in any other way determined that the work permit should be speeded up’.
