Your recent leader (Numbers game) prompts me to encourage Legal Practice Course graduates who may be struggling to find a training contract to think about a career alternative by qualifying as a chartered secretary.

Chartered secretaries are governance, risk and compliance professionals who work as company secretaries, and secretaries to NHS and other public bodies, school academies and charities. The range of career options is broad and the legal education which LPC graduates have gained is certainly an excellent platform for working as a chartered secretary.
