There are two surveys: one for individuals in the legal sector, and another for organisations.

The surveys are anonymous and delve into critical areas such as working hours, job pressure, burnout, mental health, and instances of bullying or discrimination within the legal sector.

For individuals, contributing to this research provides an opportunity to share personal experiences and challenges, helping to identify the root causes of mental health issues prevalent in the profession.

By engaging in this research, firms can gain a deeper understanding of the factors affecting their employees' mental health and wellbeing. This awareness is crucial for implementing effective workplace measures that support mental health, enhance job satisfaction, and improve overall productivity. Moreover, demonstrating a commitment to addressing mental health issues can enhance a firm's reputation, making it more attractive to current and prospective employees.

The findings, set to be published in October 2025, will offer evidence-based recommendations to improve working practices and support mental health across the profession, leading to long-lasting cultural shifts in the legal workplace.

The surveys are open until Friday 21 March 2025. Please take part and take a proactive step towards building a more supportive, healthier, and sustainable working environment for all in the legal sector.
