On the subject of ministerial perks, you may recall Obiter asked earlier this month where the hospitality register for justice ministers had disappeared to.

Well, now it’s up – from July to September 2012. Largely it’s a list of ‘nil return’ next to a bunch of ministers – Ken Clarke, Crispin Blunt and Jonathan Djanogly – given their marching orders from the MoJ in September.

Ken, of course, couldn’t resist tickets to the England vs South Africa test match at the Oval, or lunch with the RAC, Daily Mail and Channel 4. Lord McNally, who survived David Cameron’s cull, enjoyed lunch and dinner with PR firm Weber Shandwick.

Djanogly meanwhile, who has since registered as the sole owner of consultancy business CGLV Limited, was treated to just one piece of hospitality: drinks and canapés on 3 July with the Association of British Insurers.
