Researchers at the BBC’s The One Show wrote to the Society to say that they planned to find out more about recent controversial judgments handed down by the European Court of Human Rights. Staff from Chancery Lane’s human rights unit helpfully pointed out that, ahem, the court is actually part of the Council of Europe, not the European Union, and is based in Strasbourg.
