Following on (geddit?) from the recent news that there will be no England solicitors’ team in this year’s Lawyers Cricket World Cup, Obiter was pleased to hear from the only English solicitor taking part in the tournament.

Peter Dodd (pictured far right in 2007, with barrister Guy Opperman, now MP for Hexham), a partner at Temple Heelis in Cumberland, is making up the numbers in the barristers’ squad.

Something of a veteran, Dodd took part in previous tournaments in Hyderabad, India, in 2007, and Cambridge in 2009.

No peace for the wicket.
