Obiter always thought BOGOF offers were limited to bags of satsumas, convincing shoppers to take home a small mountain of citrus fruit, only to feel guilty when half of it has to be discarded after a week.

But it seems the ‘buy one, get one free’ phenomenon has now reached the legal sphere. Shropshire firm Linder Myers has launched ‘Wills Wednesday’, through which it is offering ‘two basic wills for the price of one’ every Wednesday for three months.

The firm says the initiative is designed to make it easier for folk who cannot afford to make a will in the current, tough economic environment. Sounds so good, Obiter will take two.
